Custom Built Mahogany Bar

Wood 4 You Now is a complete Cabinet  and Furniture Design wood shop. I am  equipped for an experienced in all types, forms and periods of  interior carpentry and custom millwork,  its fabrication and installation. Specializing in, Built-in units with full shop capability for on site alterations and retro-fits.

Pictured above is a solid Cherry and Maple window love seat with bookshelves and cabinet storage on one side and a computer desk on the other. Solid Maple doors for the cabinets on either side of the lift up seat lid, with storage underneath. Custom on site milled window trim and shelf above double window.  Solid true 5/4" stock for shelves and supporting brackets. Window span is 6' wide and 5' high.

The Solid Mahogany Bar pictured here was a combination of shop fabrication and on site installation and final finish work.  I had to build this bar around the steel lolly column situated in the middle of the room holding up the bearing wall of the house.  The whole room was designed and layed out around the placement of the bar.

The Solid Mahogany top for this bar was fabricated out of two 6/4" X 11"W X 9' L pieces with a complete spline joint. The design of the back bar made the angles of the top and adjoing front face a difficult installation. Supporting brackets are true 8/4 shop milled pieces 9" in height with a 6"projection.All panels are recessed and matched to outer plywood panels, trimmed in solid Mahogany. The true Slate floor surrounding the front and rear bar area is my design idea as well.  This room is located in the basement of a private home.
